We’re a congregation that cares. As Christians, we care about others and strive to have a positive impact on other people’s lives. Whether it’s someone in our congregation, our community or our world, we are there in times of need, in times of joy and all the times between.
We demonstrate our caring spirit every day. We volunteer. We reach out to charitable organizations. Whether it’s painting a house, donating food or raising funds to buy fruit trees for our brothers and sisters across the globe, we help our neighbors in need. Cruising down the hill, snow in the face and a magic carpet ride back to the top…what could be better?!?
Laughter rang through the basement of St. John Lutheran church at the “Minute-to-Win-it” Christmas Party and Gift Exchange mid-December. We ate pizza, challenged each team to complete amusing “Minute-To-Win-It” games, and ended the evening with a gift exchange…that included “stealing” gifts!
We also talked about the best gift anyone could get this Christmas…Jesus’ grace and forgiveness from sin.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow – we had a fantastic group of young people show up, work hard and then play hard on Sunday night, November 12th! Let’s do the numbers…
Most importantly, we gathered around the campfire to learn about the importance of sharing our thankfulness to God about all of the wonderful gifts He has blessed us with. “Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done!” 1 Chronicles 16:8
In this holiday season, we challenge our youth (and their families and friends) to keep Paying It Forward…if God has done something amazing in your life, don’t keep it a secret – tweet, post, snap or simply speak about His awesomeness. You never know who might be encouraged because you weren’t afraid to tell someone!
Can’t wait to do it again? Mark your calendars for Sunday night, December 10th from 4-6 p.m. for “Merry Christmas Minute-To-Win-It” night. Watch for more details!
